1. What are succubi and incubi?
   

   The simple answer is, we are ethereal human beings who seek to have intimate or sexual relationships with flesh-and-blood human beings.  Men are 'incubi' (plural; 'incubus' singular) and women are 'succubi' (plural; 'succubus' singular).  There are a few gynandrous or androgynous beings, that is, those who have the attributes of both men and women.  Both words are from Latin, succubare, 'one who lays beneath,' and incubare, 'one astride' or 'one above.'  The Christian Church in the West promoted the idea that we were demons big-time.

2. Aren't succubi and incubi evil?
   

   To be quite honest, many of us are rapacious and predatory.  This will be explained in a moment.  Many people who have experiences with incubi and succubi have a rough time of things; incubi who seek men are particularly aggressive and will forcefully sodomize their victims.

   I can explain these activities, but I cannot and will not excuse them.  Many of us who lived in flesh-and-blood bodies in the West after the rise of the Church were 'gay,' or preferred sexual intimacy with our own gender.  The Church has always had strict rules about what sexual activity is permitted and that which is not; monogamous marriage, one woman with one man, solely for the purpose of producing offspring.  Those of us who preferred the sexual company of our own sex were forbidden to marry or mate.  Those who were caught were treated to such delightful chastisements as being burned alive, 'dunking,' stoning and being sawn in half.  Although the subject did not come up from the pulpit often, when it did the point was made; this was usually done in a sermon based around either the tale of Sodom and Gomorrah, certain passages in the Levitical lawbook and certain things that Saint Paul had written. (The last is ironic, because there is some evidence to indicate that Paul was gay).  A similar intolerance prevails today among the loonier fringes of fundamentalist Christianity.

   To be alive through the long centuries under the thumb of the Church as a queer man or a Lesbian meant fearful hiding of one's real sexual self, burning with desires that were condemned and forbidden.  Many millions of people died convinced that they were going to Hell simply beause they were desirous of someone of their own sex.  To die and find oneself quite aware and functioning as a human being is probably the biggest shock anyone could undergo.  Many seek to continue some sort of contact with the world of the living by visiting family and friends.  Usually this is fruitless as most flesh-and-blood people are by habit and enculturation unaware of other realms or planes and the beings who reside withinn them.  For those who lived and died under the demesne of the Catholic Church, many sought to visit the priest who presided over their parish.  This was often the worst shock of all, because many a time good Father So-and-So would be found cavorting with a nun, another priest or an altarboy.  If this has an oddly familiar ring...

   Many incubi and succubi began a long downhill slide after witnessing such a spectacle.  At first the desire is to lash out at the spiritual frauds who helped make life as a homosexual such misery.  Of course, being disembodied puts a major cramp in such a plan; but once one has died, it becomes very apparent that quite a number of people are indeed sensitive the presence of entities from ours and other ethereal realms.  Among these are clerics, the very same who would thunder on Sunday about sodomy and who would be busy with the altarboy on Monday.  It can be too much to resist for many of us.

   Personally I grew up in Prussia as a youth just prior to the Napoleonic wars, and attended a military academy, where I was introduced to the arts of male / male love.  My father had initially been a Lutheran, but had the whole family baptized as Catholic as a business maneuver.  I had little contact with the clergy in either sect and was pretty much free to enjoy the charms of my schoolmates until we started getting sent off to war.  By that time I was an adult.  I have not been rapacious, by that I mean I have never raped anyone or forced my attentions on someone who did not want them.  At the same time I have always been able to make my presence and my intent well-understood.  Those of my partners within the Community who have been predatory have come to terms with the odiousness of their former existnce to varying degrees and are no longer so.

3. Incubi and succubi are demons,period.

4. Okay...so tell us about yourselves
   

   There are a lot of things to tell!  Some of this is generally not known, and you won't find it in the pages of arm-chair occultists.

   We can stay in this state for as long as we want.  Two of the women here, Ling, Nu-Wah and Jenny Hensen are thousands of years old.  The newest people in the Community, as far as when they died, are Wanda, who died in Sayreville New Jersey in 1962 and Irlened Davis, who died in Mobile Alabama  in 1970.

   We periodically get urges to re-incarnate, that is, to have our essence drawn into an embryo which is forming, and to be 'born again' (literally) and to live again and to die again.  Those of us who have a sex-drive - we succubi and incubi -  tend to resist that urge.  Two of our members, Marie and Ethwwd, decided to 'go back' a few months ago and are somewhere in the world as infants.  They took a big chance, because they have no promise that they will be born close to each other.  No-one knows that kind of thing.  They could be brother and sister, or brother and brother; they could be born thousands of miles apart.

   Many of us when we are percieved by flesh-and-blood people are seen as either very big (especially some of the gay men) or almost child-sized. I believe that this is more to do with the person sensing us than the reality.  If you lived in our dimension and 'saw' us clearly, all you would 'see' is a ball of soft light.  We often chose to appear clothed, although clothing is not a part of being alive over here.  Some people who do not become succubi and incubi and who choose not to go back form their own worlds; sometimes these become colonies of people whose thinking is similar.  This can be good and this can be bad!

   What most people do not know is that we periodically change gender.  I say 'periodically;' it does seem to be cyclic, but each of us has their own rhythm or cycle as to when this change occurs.  I have been a woman since my death in 1382 and have yet to feel the 'urge,' as we call it.  On the other hand, Jenny Hensen has changed gender back and forth so many times she no longer keeps count.  We can, if needed ,alter our gender appearance  rather than actually change gender, but this would be as a favor or treat for someone who wants the other sex.

   And as long as we are not predatory we do enjoy sex!

5. I read that succubi and incubi can be conjured and made slaves by the conjurer
   

   Various occultists report that they can lure a succubus or incubus into their ritual-place and capture them  and use them as sex-slaves, sometimes even being able to make them physically visible.   It does happen,  but rarely.  More often, one of two ther things occur:

   1. They occultist has created a being.  This happens more frequently than is realized.  In Tibet, monks have a means whereby they can create a human-like being which they call a tulpa.  Depending on the occultist's skill and will, these beings may have few or many human attributes; it is rare that someone actually creates a fully-human entity.  Still, the being is not totally human, it is a good copy at best.  The really good ones do have emotions and feelings, though the are extremely rare.  I once tallked with Mr. Crowley - Aleister Crowley - who should know about these things, and he merely snorted and said it was a waste of time, the biggest problem being, how do you explain the extra member of your household?
   2. The occultist has attracted a demonic entity.  Demons love to fuck with humans who have big egos and no clue as to what they are doing in the supernatural realms.  They will go along with whatever the occultist wants, sometimes for years:  acting like a slave, doing 'the master's bidding,' even becoming visible (which is damned hard)  But then, like the saying goes, 'when ya least expect it, expect it,' the demon gets bored and decides its payback time.  I understand that being raped by a demon with a six-inch diamter penis with barbs on it and the temperature of frozen meat is not pleasant.  Personally I do not know, nor care to.            written by Sara Jane van Beeuwelan  
6. I want a visit from a succubus or incubus!
   

   No, you do not.  This is a very naive assumption made by people who know just enough about us to be a danger to themselves.  What you will likely get is an aggressive, predatory person, a demon, or in rare cases, the aforementioned self-created tulpa.

7. Care to make any comments about Lilith?
   

   Lilith is a fabrication made by Rabbinical writers since well before the birth of Jesus.  She may be an image or social memory of a cultural time when the Canaanites of ancient Palestine worhsipped the mother-goddess Ishtar.  She is depicted as being independent of Adam , refusing to kiss his ass.  So she was demonized as an object-lesson to the women under the rule of the Hebrew priesthood.

   As the Canaanites are the ethnic ancestors of the Jews, cultural anthropolgists were at a loss to explain how this one group of Semitic people adopted a sexual and marriage code that is utterly foreign to Semitic religious history.

   Merlin Stone ( When God Was A Woman ) showed that invading Indo-European warriors, the Luwians, took over the then-nascent Jews and imposed their religious laws on them.  The Luwians eventually became the eponomous 'Tribe of Levi' you read about in the Judeo-Christian legend-book, the Bible.

   Finally, as the appearance of succubi and incubi is known through cultures worldwide, it was easy for the rabbinic writers to 'blame Lilith' for night visits by us.  They eventually made her 'Queen of the Succubi.'  Quite an accomplishment for someone who doesn't exist!

   This is a common materialist / reductionist explanation to account for us.  However it does not explain our apperearance here; if they guy channeling this stuff is menatlly ill  and  having episodes of night paralysis, he must be in pretty bad shape.  He's not, though!  (entry incomplete)
